Washington County is dotted with hundreds of lakes and ponds, and two of the largest feature recreational parks open to the public in summer. There are also several wildlife preserves and sanctuaries for birding and nature walks, and in the case of East Bay Wildlife Management Area, for fishing, hunting and trapping as well.
